Free API keys

Anonymous calls to the five tools stay open with no key. A free key raises the rate limit. This page does not ask for email or any other personal data, and it has no checkout.

Anonymous access needs no key: 60 requests per 60 seconds and 5000 per day. A free key is higher: 600 requests per 60 seconds and 50000 per day. Issuing a key is limited to 5 per client per day.

The key is shown once. Only a hash is stored. Send it as Authorization: Bearer or X-API-Key. A key that does not match returns INVALID_API_KEY. Anonymous access is available without a key.
